Gutsschänke in Meersburg (Bodensee)

Very, very delicious food and great champagne! The service was very nice and we drifted in with our dog! We will be back!!!

We ate there 2 wonderful evenings in a row. The menu is varied and the food is excellent! Cleanliness and a very courteous service convinced us! Keep it up!

Nice restaurant with probably the best view over Lake Constance from the outside terrace. The food (tarte flambée) was delicious and the staff very friendly. Very good price / performance ratio. Overall, very recommendable! We'd love to come back.

Only the view counts. 4 people otherwise disappointed. - Spaetzle from the pack (Sorry, you can also eat at home) - onion from the package (?) - 3 chewy onion roast beef - Had all the wines ordered. Quote from a fellow passenger to the Pinot Noir (red): "Smells like cheese feet". Pinot Blanc like vinegar went completely undrinked after a sip. We come from a wine region and are certainly a bit spoiled, but that was a disaster

Great location, high above the old town and the harbor. Good quick service. Prices are transparent and in line with the competition. Going there is definitely worth it just for the view.

The large terrace is not always big enough on days with excursion weather, so it is advisable to reserve in advance to eat. Nevertheless, one tries to find a place for the thirsty short-term guest, if possible. The next time we'll call ahead, and we'll be guaranteed a fifth star for the meal. I am sure!...

We ate here 2 days in a row. Spontaneous on the first day and were lucky enough to get a table. The lady from the service was super nice and very dedicated. You could see that she enjoys doing her job. Food and ambience great. Price performance also completely okay. You should definitely plan a visit here.

Very, very nice service. Sensational dishes at a high level. The ambience with a view of Lake Constance is simply stunning. Great value for money. The sanitary facilities were well maintained. Those who stop in Meersburg have to dine in this restaurant.

The restaurant has a beautiful view and the food is delicious too. However, the service was not that good as it took a long time for the order to be taken and the drinks to arrive. The food, however, came very quickly. The attentiveness of the wait staff leaves a lot to be desired. You have to let the waitress know several times that you still have something to drink, as they keep forgetting. The neighboring tables also had to wait a long time. The guests came when we got our food and hadn't received a menu or drinks menu when we finished our main course.

The great location and beautiful view clearly score here. Since we were there when it was raining, we had to concentrate on the food and the service. And unfortunately both of that were mediocre. Bringing two starters at the same time was apparently not possible. Although the second was a soup, it didn't come until the snails had already been eaten. When serving the same, the bread slices that were also served fell off the plate, which the waiter, who was not unfriendly, but quite listless, ignored The rump steak was edible but not really soft as promised on the menu. Whitefish matjes was good, but the fried potatoes served with both dishes would have tasted better if the fat in which they were fried had been fresh. You can tell a really good restaurant that you can't taste the fat that is being cooked in. We ate and left quickly. It's a shame at such a location.

Very well. The Corona rules are meticulously implemented. There is even hand infection on the table. A wonderful view of Lake Constance. Very trained staff. Price-performance ratio is right. We would definitely go back.

Great ambience, beautiful view. The food was delicious. Unfortunately, some unfriendly staff (not all of them !!) I would have liked more cordiality. But also understand the circumstances when there is a lot of traffic. All in all, we had a wonderful lunch in the Gutsschänke.

A very nice restaurant in the upper town of Meersburg. Very friendly competent staff and delicious food on top of that. As everywhere in Meersburg, there are no parking spaces, so come on foot and make a reservation one day in advance! The garden has a wonderful view of the lake. Absolute recommendation!

Tried to have a drink here but the waitress ignored us for 15 minutes after giving us our table, therefore we left before having ordered.

Fast and friendly service. Very tasty tarte flambée. Sufficient shade, including at lunchtime. Only the salad sauce was not really edible, tasted mainly of oil with a hint of vinegar. Since it was missing ... All in all, highly recommended.

On the terrace you can enjoy an overwhelming view over the lake. Large parasols provide the necessary shade. The food is delicious and is served without waiting. Everything fits together here.

We loved every minute during our dinner at Gutschänke Meersburg. Great food, beautiful view, flexible and skilled staff. Mr Yildiz guided us through the evening and was proactively suggesting us the best combination of foods and wines. Thank you for a nice evening!

A really great restaurant with delicious dishes and wines. The very friendly service from "Mr. Resul" was wonderful and made us feel very comfortable. There was even a delicious sparkling wine with greetings from our house for our birthday. Thank you again 😍

Good beer at a perfect place to glance Alps and Bodensee Lake

5 stars for the view alone since we were seated on a table directly overlooking the water. The food was fairly normal german fare done well, but the wine was fantastic and service very friendly. Sitting on the terrace in good weather is an easy 5, inside during winter the ambience and food is not as special.

Nice restaurant and nice service. There's a balcony to see the best lake views while you enjoy your food. It's recommended to book in advance. We didn't and had to share our table with someone else.

Perfect place for a meal with someone special or with friends. The customer service was very good, food tasted great. I had the beef cheek and it was so soft and flavourful. Fantastic view and super chill and relaxed. I would recommend.

I would have loved to spend $ to enjoy the view. I am a traveller and work in food industry myself. I was with 3 friends so we grabbed a table but theres only 3 chairs so we helped ourselves with another chair. On april 24 around 3:30 pm, a rude waiter with his hands in the air, voice raised so every one can hear, told us in very clear German that that table is only good for three! He could have ushered us to a different table or could have told us politely that he doesn't want our businesses. NOT GOOD!!

What was positive was the really nice view, and the waiter was really nice too. What was negative the food in small quantities for an expensive bill, and cherry on to, the owner tried to put 2 persons, who we don't know, on the same table than us. We were obliged to shout to her to explain that we reserved and paid for the table which she finally admitted. We won't recommend this place to anyone.
